    Unit 8: Leçon 3 Interlude 2
    Verbs Ending in -ER
    I'm now going to explain to you how the sentences in the last leçon/interlude would be translated into English. I have chosen four of these sentences that I am going to use as examples. Check them out in the chart below:

Il aide la fille.
1. He helps the girl.
2. He is helping the girl.
3. He does help the girl.
Je cherche mon stylo.
1. I look for my pen.
2. I am looking for my pen.
3. I do look for my pen.
Elle commence la leçon.
1. She begins the lesson.
2. She is beginning the lesson.
3. She does begin the lesson.
Victoire travaille à l'école.
1. Victoire works at school.
2. Victoire is working at school.
3. Victoire does (her) work at school.
    As you can see, each of the French sentences has three different meanings in English which is nice because you don't have to spend loads of time trying to figure out how you say something that is happening right now because in French, it's all the same! (This works the same way for negative sentences too!)
